The Border League

Welcome to the website of the Border League.

The Border League is based in the Scottish Borders and is one of four feeder leagues to the Scottish National League. There are seven clubs in the Border League, Gala, Hawick & Wilton, Kelso, Langholm, Melrose, Selkirk and St.Boswells.

The Border League is a fifty over per side competition while the Reserve League for 2nd XI's, which also includes Penicuik, is a forty over per side competition.

The Border League also runs two Cup competitions, the forty over per side League Cup, and the Border 20/20 Cup, as well as a six-a-side tournament, while Border League clubs also compete, along with National League side Dumfries, in the South Qualifying Section of the Murgitroyd National 20/20 competition.

The League Cup sees the seven BL teams drawn in two pools, with pool winners meeting in the final and play-offs for the other teams depending on pool placings. The Border 20/20 Cup is contested by Gala, Hawick & Wilton, Kelso, Melrose, Selkirk and St.Boswells with teams playing one fixture against every other team in a league format with the league winners getting home advantage against the runners-up in the Border 20/20 Final.
